Where to play pickleball in Adelaide
Verified places to play pickleball in Adelaide for 2026: free City of Adelaide park courts, Burnside, Charles Sturt and Marion council courts, YMCA drop-in sessions, clubs and Pickleball SA.
On this page
Short answer: Adelaide has a good spread of free council courts. The City of Adelaide has line-marked pickleball courts at Bundey's Paddock in North Adelaide and a court at Veale Park in the South Parklands, both free and first in, first served, and suburban councils including Burnside, Charles Sturt and Marion have added free courts too. For organised play, Adelaide Pickleball Club runs 16 outdoor courts at Mile End and 12 indoor courts at Concordia College in Highgate, and YMCA centres at St Clair and Marion run drop-in sessions with equipment provided.
South Australian councils have moved quickly on pickleball. A February 2026 article from the Local Government Association of SA described many councils creating free courts, and named several of them. So you can try the game in Adelaide without paying court fees, as long as you bring your own net and gear.
Who runs pickleball in South Australia?
Pickleball South Australia (Pickleball SA) is the state member of Pickleball Australia. Its affiliated clubs page lists clubs across the state, and it keeps separate lists of affiliated venues and courts for hire. It does not publish a member total on those pages.
